Liv Tanaka-Kekai, '24

Liv is a senior from St. Paul, Minnesota majoring in Linguistics with a minor in Music. She loves to write, go on walks around Uptown, and cook in her free time. On campus, she is involved with WTUL and is a student employee at the library where you can find her fixing printers and answering phone calls. 


Mika Nijhiwan, '25

Mika is a junior from Boulder, Colorado; she is majoring in Political Economy and Philosophy with a minor in Economics. During her collegiate career, Mika has dedicated her time to pursuing her interest in American politics by interning at her Governor’s Office in Colorado and her Congressman’s Office on Capitol Hill. She also worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Mahoney in the Newcomb Institute researching women’s participation in American politics. You can often find her in Audubon Park reading The New Yorker.


Ella Jeffries, '26

Ella Jeffries is a sophomore from Seattle, Washington, majoring in Political Science with minors in English and Economics. In her free time, she enjoys writing (particularly poetry), dancing, and going on Audubon walks. In addition to working on NOSTRA, Ella is the fundraising chair for Club Ace, a hip-hop dance group, a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and a TIDES peer mentor. Outside of Tulane, she has pursued her interest in local politics by interning in campaign fundraising for elected officials in Washington State.

Emma Allen, '23

Emma is a senior from Batesville, Indiana majoring in Political Economy & English with a SLAM minor. In addition to developing the NOSTRA Literary Magazine, Emma is a resident advisor, an editor for the Tulane Review, a tour guide with Green Wave Ambassadors, and a research assistant with the New Orleans Maternal & Child Health Coalition.
